Terms of Service
Last updated: 25 June 2026
Termato is free, self-hosted software that you run on your own hardware. These terms explain the deal: you get the software as-is, you're responsible for how you run it, and there's no warranty. Use Termato and you agree to what's below.
1. Acceptance of these terms
By downloading, installing, or using Termato or this website, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use Termato.
2. The software
Termato is provided free of charge as a self-hosted application. You install and run it on servers, desktops, or laptops that you own or control. We don't host it for you, run it for you, or operate any service that your data passes through. Your use of the source code is additionally governed by the licence published in the project repository; where that licence and these terms differ for the code itself, the licence controls.
3. Your responsibilities
- Your environment. You are responsible for the hardware, operating system, network, and security of the machines you install Termato on.
- Your credentials. You are responsible for safeguarding any API keys, tokens, passwords, and login secrets you use with Termato.
- Your usage. You are responsible for everything you run, build, and execute through Termato, and for complying with all applicable laws and the terms of any third-party services you connect.
- Lawful use. You agree not to use Termato for any unlawful, harmful, or abusive purpose.
4. AI and third-party services
Termato can connect to third-party services such as AI providers (e.g. Anthropic) and Cloudflare. Those services are operated by others, require your own accounts or credentials, and are governed by their own terms and pricing. We are not responsible for their availability, output, or conduct, and any costs you incur with them are between you and that provider.
5. No warranty
Termato is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that Termato will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that it will meet your requirements.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the makers and contributors of Termato shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or revenue, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) Termato — even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Because Termato is provided free of charge, our total liability for any claim relating to it is limited to the amount you paid for it, which is nothing.
7. Availability and changes
Termato is developed and updated over time. Features may change, be added, or be removed, and the software may update itself to stay current. We may also revise these terms; when we do, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
8. Trademarks
"Termato" and the Termato logo are marks of the Termato project. Other names and logos — such as Cloudflare, GitHub, and Anthropic — belong to their respective owners and are used here only to identify those services.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws applicable where the Termato project is operated, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Nothing here limits any rights you may have that cannot be waived under your local law.
